Healing Through Art
When words are still out of reach, colour speaks first. Inside our art-based healing sessions for women carrying trauma.

Trauma often lands in the body long before it reaches language. Many of the women who come to us can describe the day, the room, the weather — but not the feeling. Art gives that feeling somewhere to go.
Our sessions are facilitated by trauma-informed practitioners. There is no critique, no skill requirement and no obligation to explain what you have made. Participants work in paint, collage, textile and clay across a six-week cycle.
What we see, again and again, is a shift in posture before a shift in words. Shoulders drop. Women stay behind to talk. The work becomes a bridge back to speech at a pace the participant sets herself.
Cycles run several times a year in partnership with community spaces across the diaspora. Materials are provided at no cost to participants.
